I’m no Speed Racer
I went to F1 Boston with Charlie and his friend Tim today. Greg was supposed to go, but he apparently slept in and refused to answer his cell phone. Anyway, at F1 Boston, people race suped-up go-karts around one of two tracks for 15 minute races. Everyone wears racing suits and helmets. It’s quite cool, but naturally it’s quite expensive. $25 for a yearly “driver’s license” ($10 for a day) and then $25 for a race on top of that (or $60 for three). We did one race. I started at the back of the pack and finished at the back of the pack…but pretty far back. Man, I suck.
I spent most of the rest of the day just goofing off (like usual). Greg’s boss called me at about 3pm to check in with me. I don’t know what the hell he was calling me on Saturday for, but I have to start watching the Caller ID more closely. I guess I have to go down there on Monday to “discuss a few new web sites”. They’d better be paying web sites. This guy’s not getting anymore free rides…especially since I’m only getting paid peanuts to begin with. (Actually, I think I’d be better off if I was literally paid with peanuts. Salted, please. Thank you.)
I spent the rest of the evening fixing a few nagging bugs on my web site. (Nagging as in a certain user won’t stop nagging me about fixing it. You’d think people would have more important things to do than post about “CHiPs”. Geesh.)
No plans for tomorrow. Maybe I’ll work on my Digital UI stuff more in hopes that it will earn me a couple bucks. I’ll probably crash in my bed and watch TV soon. Bored.
