After leaving the studio through the west door, you enter a hallway. Just down to the left and on the right you'll find the writing room. On the far (western) wall, there's a chalkboard as seen in the picture above. Kevin Murphy's wife showed us through this room. In the southwest corner, there's a big TV where all the movies are screened. It's surrounded by comfy couches and chairs. In the northwest corner, there's another kitchen. There was a box of Basil Rathbones on top of the fridge. According to the video of Paul and Mary Jo which the MSTies were shown, the kitchen is usually a mess.
In the northeast corner of the room, there are several movie posters...including Mannequin, Santa Claus, and Godzilla vs. Something. To the right of them, you'll see 8 months of calendars. According to the schedules which were written on the September one, they were well into shooting season 8. It's not known if they were actually on schedule at that time. In front of the posters and calendars, you couldn't miss the giant Satellite of Love model. I got off three good shots before the room filled with people.

In the southeast corner, near where everyone entered the room, there were videotapes of upcoming season 8 episodes.

After exiting on the north side of the room, we got to peek in the makeup room on the right. A picture is below. Lots of costumes, one chair, and pictures of TV's Frank, Dr. Forrester, Torgo, and others on the wall (to the right of the costumes).

Continuing along the hallway, we all came to the exit. ...but don't worry, the tour wasn't going to just end like that. The Brains had assembled a large number of props near the door for our viewing. I couldn't get pictures of them all before the room filled up...but here are two of the walls...
