I am so depressed! There is nothing quite as bad as being tricked by a trusted friend! When I saw the name of this set ("Ghost with Wolfman") on one of those web pages where they have the entire list of anything Lego has ever made and I saw it was a fairly recent set, I thought, "Cool, Lego made a set with a new monster!" I always figured that one of these days Lego is gonna run out of ideas and come up with some classic movie/mythical monster or super hero themes (hey, they already made some full length capes for a couple of castle characters), so when I found out Shop at Home had some in stock, I got very excited! Every day I'd rush home to check the mail box with visions of a lycanthropy epidemic spreading throughout my already war-torn castle-kingdom. When the box finally showed up, I did amazing acrobatic tricks across my front lawn (my back is still paying for that). Then I got inside and opened the box...what a letdown!

Here we have a tiny castle section with a ghost and a wolfpack minifig, serious bummer! The only upside is that I don't have any wolfpack figs, but come on Lego! The description of the set could have been a little more clear. As mentioned, there are two minifigs, some assorted grey and black castle pieces, a grey bird, a sword, spear and wolfpack shield, that's it.
If you still have the Shop at Home 1995 Holiday Express catalog, this is the pictured set that comes as a bonus with the 6038-Wolfpack Renegades set, and as such it's not a bad bonus (it's not even bad as a $4.25 piece and minifig set), but when your heart is set on a hairy face fangy-tooth minifig, this is just not gonna fit the bill.
I'm aware that Shop at Home has a great return policy, but like I mentioned, I don't have any wolfpack minifigs, the set didn't cost much (as opposed to the big bucks I would have put out to buy large quantities of this set if it had been what I expected), and/or I can probably put everything back into the box and stick it in a nephew or niece's Christmas stocking.
Anyway, I'm mainly doing this review to warn anybody else who might impetuously order without getting the facts (like I did) first.
Keep on building!
