Pros: A few interesting elements to add to your collection. I really like the mini-figs for this subtheme.
Cons: Model isn't too impressive. This will be a better deal if they drop the price.

6109 Kamun-Gol has the honor, as Stingray battle-chief, of trying out the new sea tank C-CRPR. On a test run he determines that the new tank, while not terribly fast, has excellent walking capability in cramped areas (such as small caves). A thrashing blade attached to an android arm tears nicely into high-impact steel while the turtle jaw-clamp on an opposing arm proves more powerful than he expected with incredible crushing power.
In coming weeks, tactical maneuvers will be practiced with young warriors utilizing the new tanks in preparation for the next assault on Aquazone do-gooders.

I don't have any immediate plans to pick up anymore 1998 Aquazone stuff, but my son got the Sea Creeper for his birthday so who do you think had to help him put the darn thing together? (Well, okay, I did have to wrestle the box away from him.)

The 6109 (instructions show numbers 6109/6140 because I'm sure they'll re-release the set without the additional manta ray insert) is a one-man exploration sub for the Stingray subtheme. It's somewhat of a bulky cockpit featuring a 2x2x2 crystal storage box located just behind the pilot and two segmented arms equipped with a propeller on one side and a clamp on the other. The model is given kind of a crab/insect appearance with four swiveling "feet" at its base.
The main reason you might want to pick one of these up is for an inexpensive introduction to the new cockpit element. This piece measures approximately 6x6x3 and houses a 6x6 octagonal dome at an angle (although the mini-fig has to sit partially reclining in order to close the dome). This, again, is a new specialized piece that many people will not like but it does have a positive aspect in that its peculiar hinge holds the (preprinted) dome more securely than the 1x2 hinges that usually hold the 6x6 domes. Other interesting elements that come with the set are a few brown elements (plates and bricks) and some dark grey plates and inverted sloping bricks.

I wasn't very impressed by this model but it didn't cost very much, in addition it comes with a large plastic manta ray on which the assembled model can sit. This additional piece could have been a good incentive to buy the set but the manta ray is not fully molded (the underside is hollow). When/if the set is re-released without the manta ray at a lower price of say six or seven dollars it would be worth picking up for the interesting elements.
