Nicholas was growing weary of walking, but he dared not say anything to his legendary companion. Light reflected from King Leo's battle crown as Nicholas looked upward to the horse-riding monarch. The King's face was wise beyond compare; his white beard perfectly cut and kept.
The battlement ahead was where the King's nemesis, Cedric the barbarian, was to be met. Nicholas had been appointed by the queen to keep Leo safe if Cedric decided to play dirty. He drew his sword as a black horse approached. Mounted there before him was Cedric, king of the Bull barbarians.
"Hello, brother," King Leo remarked as he positioned his lance and spurred his horse. Nicholas stood ready to intervene. The noble King's life was at stake!
This is nothing more than a small figure pack, really. It comes with King Leo, a generic soldier in his army, and a small grey half-tower piece (topped off with three lighter grey bricks) which serves as a battlement. A white horse is also included.
King Leo and his horse are obviously the focus of the set. He sports a lion insignia on his blue torso. His arms are blue as well. To break the monotony, his legs are grey with blue imprints on them. Leo looks much better if red arms replace his old blue ones and blue gloves replace his bare hands. The crown does not offend me as it does some people, but it looks a bit silly with an all-blue figure. Leo comes equiped with a silver longsword and a lance sporting a blue flag. His horse is white with a blue saddle.
Sadly, the secondary figure in the set is much cooler than the primary one. He has a nice-looking plate armor imprint of his torso and legs, colored mainly shiny grey and black. His arms are red. His face consists of an odd eccentric-looking moustache and beard. He comes with an odd armored-sunhat helmet, a shield, and a shortsword.
The battlement is just four pieces. It's useful in custom castles though, and is a welcome addition to the package. This set was way too expensive and could have come with another shield for the King. It is good, if the price is ignored, to beef up a Knight's Kingdom army or for another horse.
