Five explorers search the caverns for the gas their transport needs. All experts in their respective fields, the five were chosen to deliver energy crystals to a crippled power station that badly needed them. Unfortunately, the rock drilling and dynamite certified member of the team, Sparks, wasn't familiar with the transport's controls.
From what he knew of driving the big drills, Sparks thought that that "little button over there" would brake the ship. Rather it opened the cargo hatch, dispersing the payload - and the fuel.
The active energy crystal didn't hesitate to turn a dank purple and lose its energy glow. Electricity stalled for a moment, and then died out completely. All five of the crew would have to go out and find some replacement crystals quick - not only for power but for the payload also!
Who knows what their supervisor would do if he received word that the shipment was late and the $1.5 billion transport had mysteriously disappeared? Only you, the disgruntled government, can decide...
Ever play the Rock Raiders PC game and wish you could get the torsos of all the worker mini-figs wear without spending $80 per set? Ever wish you could easily and cheaply get all of the mini-figs in the introduction movie? Okay, so the commander isn't in here. I don't like him anyway. Erm, maybe you never felt compelled to plunk down $40 to pick up the game. But, if you ever played the game, you'll love this set. It will open up a whole new perspective of playability and ideas in a mini-fig pack. And if you never played it, it's still easily worth picking up.
The set contains all five of the mini-figs from the Rock Raiders team: Sparks, Jet, Axle, Bandit, and, um...the weird "Doc" guy. Supposedly he is a geologist. Let 'em stay in the office. :) The figs provide great parts. Two of those cool helmets and lots of great torsos (including one in orange) are included. Prior to this, you could only get this fig in the Rock Raiders HQ for $80!
Also included is a piece of ore, a crystal, and a small computer panel attached to a tools rack. Yep, it's still the old tool ring. Included also is a double drill device, but it seems better to put one drill in a figs hand than this bulky contraption.
This set essentially has most of the Rock Raiders "special" desirable stuff: All the figs, crystal, piece of ore, and the turquoise computer. Any lover of neat, fill in and accessory pieces must pick up.
48 readers have rated this set as 3.73 out of 5 stars.
