As the Aquashark piloted his sub out of the canyons near the Aquanaut lab, his sonar detection system indicated he had a shadow. He tried to outmaneuver it, but the sensor ghost remained. "It's probably nothing," he thought. Of course having just been on a top-secret mission to record classified Aquanaut data, even the smallest things had him shaking in his dive boots. With this
magnetohydrodynamic drive-powered sub he piloted, not one Aquanaut ship could outrun him...or so he thought...
I know, I know, if a sub has magnetohydrodynamic drive, it wouldn't need a propeller. But that's beside the point (e-mail me if you want the full explanation).
This set is just a very small submarine. With blue, side-mounted buoyancy tanks, it is endowed with a realistic quality (it's probably one of the first sets to actually provide an explanation for vertical lift). This set is also one of the few recent models to be graced with the slanted-piece-on-front-studs-on-each-side element. It has the typical and attractive black and blue with orange lights color scheme, like the other 3 Aquashark sets.
Included are the submarine itself, 1 Aquashark mini-fig with skateboarder's hair, but no seaweed or coral. Overall, this set is necessary for every Aquazone collection, especially since there were only 2 Aquashark sets at their introduction. Even a Space collector might pick one up for the slanted-with-studs nosepiece. I bought 1, and then liked it so much that I got 4 more!
This sub is good at spying on things, following things, attacking things, and just about everything else. That's why I gave it a rating of 4 stars.
