Wars had been raging on Alpha Proximus VII for at least eight years. The forces of Futuron, the Space Police, and Spyrius had been fighting over possession of the planet. Each side was equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and surface and air craft, so battles were intense. Very intense. Infantry from each team were practically on top of each other; almost like an intergalactic civil war.
Now, the forces of Spyrius are prevailing and occupy 62% of the entire planet's land. (The planet is also 50% water.) The reason for the Spyrian superiority was simple: they had small ships capable of light speed and fitting in tight spots where larger battle cruisers could not go.
All of this is about to change however. Rumors are floating around several planets that Futuron has developed a miniscule ship so deadly that a fleet of fifty could possibly turn the tide of the war...
When I say "Whooppee!" in my reviews I really mean it. So, for this small value pack set, I say "Whooppee! Whooppee! Whooppee!"
The little tiny Star Quest is an extremely small Futuron ship with tons of gadgets and niceties. It also comes with an black and white Futuron mini-fig. The mini-fig is just short of being a Space Police mini-fig. I think it would be one if it only had a red visor on its helmet instead of a blue one.
The overall ship is done in black and white with translucent red and blue highlights. The nose of the ship has two short translucent red antennae that serve as laser beams. A little farther back is a 2x3x1 slope with the Futuron/Space logo. The cockpit is made of a white "space chair" and has two 1x1 tiles with computer stuff painted on. The wings of the craft can fold down using some hinge plates so I get the impression that this ship is a VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) style ship. On the bottom of each wing are two 2x2 blue radar dishes used as vertical thrusters.
This set has an awesome design and a ton of great features like the folding wings and exclusive astronaut that make it worthy of four stars. The set came in a value pack along with a Forestman and Town set, so there are no alternate models shown. However, even with nothing to go by you could still make some great models like another small starship (because of four 4x4 wing plates) or a hovercraft (because of the four radar dishes).
If you see this set in an auction, go for it! You will NOT regret it!
