Captain's Log, stardate 96121.8
The E.S.S. Explorien has been out of spacedock nearly one year now. The crew was looking forward to another year on board...until today.
We landed on an uncharted planet to do a little exploring...but mostly for some R&R. The crew's spirits were high until something terrible happened. Lt. MacLeod was reported missing. We sent out search parties. We though he probably found some nice shade and fell asleep. We were wrong.
At about 1400 hours, we discovered his charred remains near a small plateau. Something was obviously wrong...we were not alone.
About 15 minutes later, Commander Ferguson reported seeing a small craft speeding across the plains. His VR recorder captured it. We definately had a U.F.O. nearby.
I recalled the crew to the ship while Commander Ferguson and I examined the data. The small craft has a disc in front which probably provided lift. We're not sure where the horizontal propulsion comes from, but there appear to be laser cannons mounted on each side.
The occupant was seated in the rear with a small control panel in front of him. There was what appeared to be a weapon by his side. As far as we could tell, the blue-skinned fellow didn't wear a helmet or any sort of air supply. They most likely breath oxygen also.
We will be transmitting the visual record of this encounter soon. We are classifing this U.F.O. as armed and dangerous.
END TRANSMISSION - E.S.S. Explorien - LCC-6982 - Captain Delahanty
This is an odd little craft. The bag it comes in says it's an Explorien set. I beg to differ. I'm considering this the first of the U.F.O. sets since it comes with a U.F.O. mini-fig and appears to follow the U.F.O. color scheme.
There's not much to say about these 19 pieces... The mini-fig has no helmet or tank...just a gun.
The little ship has a disc in front for hovering and laser cannons mounted on each side. There is a control panel which can be tilted up and down.
It's a pretty neat set. If it came with a U.F.O. helmet and shoulder pads, I'd buy 9 more! I like it better than the Explorien Hovertron...and it's cheaper too.
