PatrickD's Phoenix Force space fighter: L.S.S. Stinger

The L.S.S. Stinger is a space fighter for Phoenix Force. It can dock aboard The Starfire when not on assignment. It was the second ship to be designed for Phoenix Force, but it was the first to be built. After this ship was built, designs for future fighters were modified to include hyperdrive engines.

Here we see the skilled pilot, Lt. S. Delahanty. She was personally recruited by squadron commander "Crossfire" to fly the L.S.S. Stinger.

On the right side of Stinger is a shield generator. On the left side is a phaser cannon. Both of these raise up into position when they are in use.

Viewing the rear of Stinger, you will notice the absence of any hyperdrive engines. Stinger and The Landmaster are the only Phoenix Force vehicles incapable of hyperspace travel without being docked onboard Starfire. There are two impulse engines on the sides of the spacecraft. Stinger is the lightest vehicle in Phoenix Force.
